DESCRIPTION:Cultivating Relationships \nWhat do we learn about building relationships from Jesus’ example? (We’ll specifically look at things we see in the gospel of John) \nEvery woman I know struggles with relationships with other women in one area or another. Some feel lonely and disconnected. Others feel inadequate in their ability to develop meaningful connections. Some find it difficult to take a relationship beyond the surface level. Many find it scary to be their true selves\, and worry that others would never actually accept the “real” them. Perhaps we find ourselves feeling anxious about what someone else thinks of us. We all have that ideal of what we want our relationships with other women to look like\, and usually our actual experience falls short. And most of us likely look around and feel like everyone else is better at this than we are\, is more connected\, has better friendships than we do. Some of us may not see the value in having deeper relationships and don’t have much interest in engaging or pursuing people at all. It feels like a lot of work\, for something that often winds up messy and complicated. Maybe we’ve opened ourselves up\, only to get burned in the process. Whatever our feelings on relationships are\, God has shared his heart with us on this matter\, and has made it clear that how we engage each other matters (as seen in John 13:34-35) So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you\, you should love each other. DESCRIPTION:SOUP & A STORY – Friday September 20 – 6:00-8:00pm  You can sign up to host women for a meal or simply attend.\nYour hostess will provide soup as you gather around the table with other women from FBC to share stories and fellowship.  Here are three story-starter questions we’re asking people to consider:\n\nWhen has a step of faith resulted in something amazing happening?\nWhat is the most heartwarming act of kindness you have seen or been a part of recently? How did it impact the person receiving it?\nWhat is something funny that happened to you at church or a church event that brings a smile or laughter to you even now?\n\nWe want to get to know one another better and share our lives as we grow in our walk with Jesus.  There is no pressure or expectation that you have to share anything.  You can enjoy others’ stories.  We just want to honor Him in all we say and do and be thankful His presence will be with us.\n\nSign Me Up

SUMMARY:Trunk or Treat
DESCRIPTION:Trunk or Treat is an annual event where FBC provides a trick or treating opportunity for neighborhood children\, as well as a place where the gospel can be shared. FBC is looking for trunks for our Trunk or Treat outreach to the community!  Please let us know if you can provide a trunk (or two!) for this fun event.  You can decorate your trunk\, if you want\, and get bragging rights if you win the Best Decorated Trunk award!  If you choose not to decorate\, that’s okay\, too — just join us to pass out candy and have fun.  Feel free to bring your own candy\, though the church will also provide candy for you to pass out.  Vehicles should arrive by 2:30 on the day of the event so we’re set up and ready to go!  Thank you!  If you can provide a trunk for this event\, please let us know. \nYou Can Use My Trunk

DESCRIPTION:This is an opportunity to help families being cared for by the We Care Pregnancy Clinic.  The Change for Life Campaign provides funds to the clinic to provide services to the families. The Christmas Care Fest allows you to purchase Christmas gifts for deserving families at We Care. Simply select a name from the tree in the lobby and purchase gifts for your selected family. The gifts will be given to the families during a luncheon hosted by FBC for We Care Pregnancy Clinic.
