DESCRIPTION:FBC has the privilege of serving at the Network of Nations Intercultural Café on Friday\, January 31\, 2025. This is an opportunity to reach out to the International students at NIU\, and to reach the nations that are here in our backyard. The café is held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in DeKalb. English Conversation groups begin at 5:45pm. Feel free to bring your kids as the students enjoy talking to both adults and children. \nHere is what we need: Casseroles or Soup\, Vegetarian Main Dishes\, Fresh Fruit and Dessert. We are also need volunteers to serve the food\, socialize with the students\, and help with set up and tear down. The food needs to be dropped of at Immanuel Lutheran Church by 5:45pm on Friday\, January 31. \nIf you would like to supply food but can’t drop it off at Immanuel Lutheran Church\, please let us know\, and we will work out a way to get the food there for you. DESCRIPTION:Join us to build great marriages – whether you’ve been married just a few days or many decades – at a Marriage Builder conference on February 22. The conference includes marriage-building activities\, breakfast\, lunch & snacks\, community-building\, and a date night. The sessions will be led by Scott Mehl\, VP of the Institute for Biblical Counseling. He is a pastor and has also authored several books.\nRegistration is required. Early bird pricing through Feb. 16 is $25/adult. Regular pricing Feb. 17-19 is $30/adult. Registration ends Feb. 20. The conference begins at 8:30am and concludes at 5:30pm when couples are encouraged to go on a Date Night. Child care is not available at the church during the 8:30am-5:30pm conference time. Child care is available at the church from 6:00-9:30pm at no cost for the date night portion of this event. Kids will be provided with light snacks. Kids must be pre-registered. Sorry no drop-ins. DESCRIPTION:Trunk or Treat is an annual outreach to the community. FBC is looking for trunks for our Trunk or Treat outreach to the community!  There’s no need to signup to attend this event\, but please signup to let us know if you can provide a trunk (or two!) for this fun event.  You can decorate your trunk\, if you want\, and get bragging rights if you win the Best Decorated Trunk award!  If you choose not to decorate\, that’s okay\, too — just join us to pass out candy and have fun.  Feel free to bring your own candy\, though the church will also provide candy for you to pass out.  Vehicles should arrive by 2:30 on the day of the event so we’re set up and ready to go!  Thank you! \nI Can Help
