Worship – Sunday @ 10:30am
Sunday services are the foundation for Christian life and growth, and the foundation for keeping our lives ROOTED in the WORD. We need regular reminders of God’s grace and truth. We need regular inspiration to live for God in all things. Our Sunday services are our rally days to come together in worship, to hear from God’s Word, and to experience the spiritual impact of seeing other believers and being seen by other believers. Without these regular refreshers, we tend to fall back into living for the lesser. God designed this weekly spiritual discipline to keep us focused on the life that is truly life!
What to Expect on your first Sunday Morning?
We are a family at First. Our hope is that we will make you feel like an instant part of the family as well! You may walk in through the gym doors at the back parking lot, or into the foyer through the drive-up doorways. (Don’t worry, there’s no entry door that will lead you to the front of the service!) As you walk into the back of the worship center from the foyer, feel free to sit anywhere you like. No rules, no reserved seats, we’re just glad you’re here!
What should I wear?
People wear anything from shorts and sandles to sutis with jackets. The way you dress at church is up to you! “For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7) If you want to meet the majority where they are, most wear about what they’d wear to a third informal date.
What is the service like?
Expect a little over an hour long service including a contemporary-styled service that includes some updated hymns reminding us of our rich 2000 year Christian heritage. There will be a message that is faithfully Bible-based, and explores how the Bible applies to our hearts and lives in our world today. You will not be singled-out, but you will be greeted, personally. Our leadership will also be available to you, personally, to help make your visit the best possible and to answer any questions you may have.
