We Care November
WE CARE NOVEMBER
We Care Pregnancy Clinic .. Empowering women and men to make life-affirming choices since 1992. We Care Pregnancy Clinic provides their clients counseling, no-cost pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, plus other serivces.
First Baptist supports We Care through prayer, fundraising, and hands-on involvement. Church members participate in events such as the Circle of Care Banquet, Walk for Life, and Change for Life baby bottle campaign, while others volunteer at the clinic and work directly with clients. Each year, FBC also hosts Christmas Care Fest, a Christmas party for families in We Care’s parenting support program. Through the Caring Tree, church members help make Christmas special for these families by providing gifts for them to receive at the party. This year’s Christmas Care Fest is December 12, 12:30-2:30pm. See below for more information on how you can participate.
BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN … bottles will be available to be picked up beginning Sunday, November 1. Just fill the bottle with change, cash, or check and return to the church by Sunday, December 6. The money collected helps to fund We Care’s free medical and educational services for expectant and new parents.
CARING TREE … gift tags will be available to pick up from the tree in the lobby beginning Sunday, November 15. The tags will contain information on the family for whom you will be purchasing gifts. Return your wrapped gifts to the church by Sunday, December 6. These gifts will be distributed to the clients at the Christmas Care Fest event on December 12.
VOLUNTEERS … are needed for Christmas Care Fest…anyone interested in helping with the Christmas Care Fest event on December 12 is encouraged to attend a brief planning meeting in Gym 1 after church at 12pm on November 1. If you can’t attend that meeting, contact Amber Hudson or Diane Vanderkooi.
