I love my church!! Can you say that?
I have a story about four of my friends from different churches, one church being our own, who love their church. Their ages are 13, 15, 16 and 17 years old. They serve in their churches weekly by mowing grass, shoveling snow, scraping ice, helping people find parking places, and working with the camera and sound. One of them said he is a “gopher” on Sunday mornings. And these friends even greet others as they come into church. Each does it as a service to the Lord. They even invite kids to their youth groups.
DO YOU LOVE YOUR CHURCH???
Colossians 1:18, 24 And He (Jesus) is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. I now rejoice in my suffering for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church.
Maybe, you are critical of your church. Someone said, “If you find a perfect church, don’t join it, as it will become imperfect when you do.” The following is an old saying. Others will say, “The Deacons don’t ‘deac’, the ushers don’t ‘ush’ and the singers sing out of tune.”
I have asked my friends how they feel about their church? Answer, “WE LOVE IT HERE!”
DO YOU LOVE YOUR CHURCH?
Ephesians 5:25 Husbands love your wives, just as Christ also loved the Church and gave Himself for her.
I know many of you are saying it is COVID days now. There are many things you could do in these days.
Call someone to encourage them
Write a card
Drop something sweet at someone’s doorstep
Pray for people BY NAME
See, the church is not a building or an organization. It’s the People!!
So love on them! The Lord died for the Church. Paul suffered for the Saints to be strong.
My four heroes have shown us the way.
SERVING IS LOVING. Find a place, or a way to love Christ’s Bride, so you can say, “I LOVE MY CHURCH!”
